Biography

Founded by July Franz Diva in August 2010, SlickFinger is originally a solo project, but some twist of fate happened that made July change the project band into a legit one. He gathered Kenneth Castillo, Dan Rosario, and Jaems Relativo to form a metal band performing original songs and cover songs from bands such as Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, and others.

The band had its first gig back in December 2010 in a UP Underground Event. Since then, the band has been performing in different prods and gigs.

SlickFinger is a band dedicated in performing heavy metal songs with a certain kind of horsekick. The band's music is influenced heavily by Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, Wolfgang, Deftones, Lamb of God, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Meshuggah.

The band aims to deliver a heavy, groovy, garter-elastic metal sound mixed with steel-cold factory-like tinge. We aim to balance the powerful audibility of the guitar with pervading aura and pulse of the bass and the drums.

We dedicate our vocal and lyrical technique to delivering progressive messages concerning about social and cultural matters, and from time to time, we allude and utilize metaphors concerning religious, personal, and political whatnot. We deliver our songs in an in-your-face manner as if we truly want you to get what we want to say.
